HostelMg is a Hostel Management Application or Property Management Software, that includes all the necessary tools for the administration of your backpacker’s hostel.

HostelMg is ideal for manage: hotels, hostels, bed & breakfast (b & b), hostelz, youth hotel, or any other kind of accommodations.

We provide reports with information about the cash movements, guest movements (check ins-outs), and ocuppancy ratio.
From there if any movement was made in any area (dynamically) detail reports on that information will be available.
Like a user shift movement like payments recieved or money withdraw, etc.

HostelMg has 3 different levels for users:
Front-Desk: is the most basic level and have access to a view of the hostel, and can make check in, charge extras to a guest, recive payments, and check out guests.
Manager: this second level has the same functionality as the first, but also can manage bookings, make special changes to a guest, cancel today error payments or charges, and withdraw money (for buying things).
Administrator: the top level has all the functionality of the other levels, and also can view the reports and configure the hostel (for adding users, changing room prices, make backups, etc)

HostelMg can be uses in English, Spanish or Italian.
(German and French support are comming soon)
The language can be set different for each user. So for example your front desk person can use it in Spanish, while the Administrator use it in English.

Any machine PC or Mac capable of using any modern browser.
A good internet connection is also recommended.
HostelMg works with any of this browsers: Chrome, Safari or Firefox .
Chrome is the recommended browser on PC.
Safari is the recommended browser on Mac
Internet Explorer is not supported.

The software works on internet allowing for multiple users on multiple computers on multiple locations to be connected at the same time without worring about syncronization problems.
And you can use the software from any computer on the world to access and manage your hostel (like from home or while traveling).
  It also provides an automatic backup for security.
And since it's on internet you can keep working even if your hard drives or computer dies or is stolen, etc.
Our server provides a 99% uptime connection.

There is not a limit on how many machines you can use the software at the same time.
Data is automaticaly syncronized across the multiple computers.

You can use the software on any machine. So whatever happen, your data is safe on internet, and you can be up working very fast.

Automatically backups are made on the server.
But if you want to make a backup to your machine we provide a way to download a copy of your data in an Excel document.

HostelMg is in BETA, that means that the software is still under continue development.
We are adding features all the time, and making small changes to the interface.....

One of the features we are currently developing is a system for Offline work.
Offline service is something really new on internet (actually only gmail, google docs, and a few other companies are using it).
The visualization of the hostel status is working offline, if you open the software and internet conection fail you will see which beds are full and which are empty (maybe not very useful, but is the beginning).
The software will automatically download data for offline use.
Once finish you will be able to check ins, access to the registered guests information and make changes, add payments and charges, and check outs. But every machine will need to connect to internet (at least once) every day to synchronize the information (you don't want to add two guests to the same bed from different computers). Internet is also necessary for the reports, bookings, make configuration changes to your hostel (like room prices, add new personal), and for automatic backup, etc.

Yes. We have an optimized version of the application for PC that you can put on your desktop, taskbar, dock or login items. (there is more information about how to do this in the documentation. All with a nice icon. And very light for download (2.5Kb !!!) All you need is to have installed Chrome.
